Im such a slacker

So It's been a few since I wrote one of these things. I'm going to pretend that I have a lot going on so you all cut me some slack. I do have a lot going on but most of what keeps me busy is at work and I get paid to do that so I can't complain. Actually it is pretty crazy at work lately. We've been getting just the right amount of rain, and the grass got just the right amount of fertilizer(a dangerous combination for a park worker) so the mowing has already begun. I have to say the grass is almost an emerald green already. Then there are all of the flowerbeds that have been in hibernation for the winter. So I've been pulling and tugging and tilling at them to try to wake them up.

In the hunt for fun things to put in our flower beds we went to a greenhouse today and found a great bird bath that strangely enough matches the light posts in the park. So I had to buy it. While we were there though my coworker strayed off into the Herb section because he has wanted to start a garden. What he came out of there was something that will change the way I see the world. Chocolate Mint! Can you belive it? I have always thought that those are the two things in the food kingdom that once put together make the most amazing flavor ever! And now Mother Nature has discovered it as well. Sure it was probably some crazy cross breeding experiment of a cooky botanist that has an infatuation for Andies mints, but I dont care. Its still great.

So..speaking of crazy cross breeding experiments...

As some of you already know, Erin and I will be having a baby this October. The 5th to be exact. Yes indeed, the day most of you looked forward to but Im sure some of you may have long dreaded has finally come to pass.
I have procreated.
My genes will now be passed along for future generations to enjoy.

Man that's romantic isn't it.

Seriously, I couldn't be more excited and I can't wait to teach the little baggins all my bad habits. And prolly a good one or two in there as well, just for good measure.

I am taking donations to name the baby in your honor. That doesn't mean we will name it after you, no...Only that we will name it what we want...in honor of you. So send off those checks!

Seriosly, I need to go eat something. My hunger is making me say things. Im so hungry Im not even gonna spell check...lucky you!

Holy cow...

You're the second blogging friend to announce this big news in the last couple weeks.

You're winning though, his isn't due until November.

Congrats to both of you!

I suppose this puts a damper on any plans for you and M to visit Chi-town for another mini-reunion anytime soon...

Hey thanks man.

I wouldn't count out the windy city visit. It could still happen. Especially if I can sell my old junker car and get the new Civic Ive been eyeing. Then I would have to to break it in.
