Hoppers

Saw an intresting site in our front yard last night. Grasshopper chitlins.
They must be on a field trip.

Matt and Lauren - said that these are babies grasshoppers that just hatched from eggs. They called nypths (sp?). There is your science lesson for the day.

  4. Matt and Lauren win the golden ticket, they are correct.

I couldn't find their mother and they looked nervous, so I'm raising them as my own.

  6. Holy cow! I had no idea grasshopper babies hung out in clumps! And I call myself an ex-biologist.

I am glad that all the money I am spending in private schooling has finally paid off in knowledge somewhere. By the way, they both like being right. Where do they get that from?
